Chef Heston Blumenthal‘s The Perfectionnist restaurant opened for the spring at London Heathrow Airport (Terminal 2) celebrating the art of travel and stylish gourmet ‘on the go’ or confortably seated if you have more time to spend. This is great travel retail design, one that has no shame to tell what it really is and finds a rare balance between cool and chic. Why shy away to be both, be bold ! The Perfectionnist comes with a retro style decor, with Knoll stools, gorgeous scandinavian blue, executive bar stool in the style of Saarinen’s Executive armchair, … It is for you to try it and then call it perfection !
If you don’t know very well Blumenthal’s approach of british cuisine have a look at the trailer video of one of his latest book Historic Heston (Bloomsbury Publishing 2013) here. In this publication he revisits the traditional british recipes with a twist and his personnal signature. Blumenthal is mostly famous for his three Michelin starred restaurant The Fat Duck in London.
I had a new nephew just a few weeks ago and I just feel like : ‘ok now you need your own Flying Blue card and you must have a Rimowa case’ … This is just as crazy as I am ! Maybe because I remember all my travel bags and trolleys I was offered by my parents as a child and how important it was to me. Even if it was actually then just to pack it for the week-end in the countryside or to summer camps. I kind of forgot about the Rimowa as soon as I was aware of this Samsonite Cosmopolite Disney Limited Editions which is not a children only trolley but a piece that fit grown ups as well. You can take it to the Sheraton New Caledonia Deva Resort & Spa which has just opened this month expanding the network of luxury and leisure resorts of the hotel company. And make sure to pack a relevant sunscreen when you travel there, your skin deserve it : I recommand Sunleÿa GE SPF 30 by Sisley.
