The new edition of Premiere Classe is almost there and I am thinking about this brand I discovered while taking a walk through the alleys of the fashion and accessories Paris trade fair. I had an instant crush on this mohair fur woven coat. Its premium fabrics were sourced at Premiere Vision fashion sourcing fair including the mohair wool from Steiff Schulte. This is no surprise to find it in good position in the polder lookbook. The brand was created by two sisters, Dutch entrepreneurs and Fashion designers Madelon Lanteri-Laura and Natalie Vodegel. They also happen to have a kids collection for girls called april showers by polder. Excerpt from polder.fr : “Since the beginning, handmade work, which adds a specific and handcrafted value, has a great importance in all their collections. The shapes are very pure and the work is focused on the research for prints and materials, the colors and finish aim at creating a visually strong and acknowledgeable product.” I totally agree with that. In my memories this coat was more camel than yellowy and green but may be I was a bit confused as the name reminiscently calls to mind polders by one of my best prefered artist Tatiana Prouve.
